Solar. Storage. Flexibility 2026 Conference Brief

Solar. Storage. Flexibility 2026 Conference Brief

Key Highlights

Pakistan’s people‑led solar transition has transformed its energy landscape, with 57 GW of solar imports, USD 14 billion in private capital and an estimated USD 12 billion in fossil fuel savings. The priority now is to ensure the energy system can integrate this shift reliably and equitably. Held in Islamabad on 4–5 August, Solar. Storage. Flexibility 2026 (SSF26) brought together over 300 practitioners, policymakers, financiers and advocates to chart the way forward across five pillars: generation and storage integration, smart grid and digital infrastructure, market and regulatory reform, financial equity and access, and industrial localization. The SSF26 conference report captures the key insights and recommendations from the two days, aiming to help shape the next phase of Pakistan’s energy transition and to offer practical lessons for other emerging economies going through a similar shift to clean, distributed energy.
